Torture Test
The torture test is one of the most commonly used and most useful forms of marketing.
Torture test is a creative execution technique in which the product is subjected to extreme conditions to demonstrate its durability.
The entire basis is to back up your own personal claim of what your product is capable of. Can it be dropped? Smashed? and survive a volcano eruption? In torture test advertisements it usually can, just to exaggerate and show how reliable a product is.
Not only does this amuse the customer, but they then want to buy it with the hopes that it will last a long time. The torture test is a creative way to get your point across when advertising.

Green Marketing
Green Marketing is a marketing effort to produce, promote, and reclaim environmentally sensitive products.
Many companies, not all, have noticed the importance of the ecological issues surrounded by marketing and how it effects their consumers. They have responded through "green marketing" initiatives.
Green Marketing takes many different forms. A few examples relate to how you package products and what resources you used to make it a "green" effort. Another example relates to the actual product you put out, like an environmentally friendly vehicle.
Green marketing will increase your edge over the competition as well as inform and satisfy the needs of your consumer. For more information on this, check out the "ISO 14001" green initiative for business'.

Noise!
In the world of marketing Noise, can be your worst nightmare.
"Noise is an extraneous factor that can work against effective communication by distorting a message or the feedback received."
One example of noise is very simple and common, this would be something like a printing error. An ad or flier which has been improperly printed, and will then distract the reader and disturb the message you are trying to relay and market.
Another example comes in the form of peer to peer. This is where you are trying to sell an idea or product to a prospecting customer/ consumer and they don't understand what you are trying to say or describe.
A side note to the peer to peer message would be due to the use of improper grammar or slang when selling a product, or even simply having an accent.

Benchmarking- It Can Take You To The Top
Benchmarking is discovering how another firm does something better than your own firm so you can imitate them or leapfrog them in the competitive market.
Benchmarking is the perfect way to gain an advantage in the market. Knowing another persons trick of the trade allows you to find problems with it and then do it better to gain more profit and results.
have your own ideas but, allow others to discover things so you can make them better. Market research is key and benchmarking is a good start when you're on your way up in the market.

Traffic Generation
Traffic Generation is the outcome of an offer essentially designed to motivate people to visit a business.
A prime example of a traffic generator would be something like a sweepstakes. If you want to market and take command of a product and be competitive, traffic generators are crucial. Sometimes it will take money out of your own pocket to make profit in the long haul.
A sweepstakes motivates people to come to your business, test out products, and potentially buy the product, come back again, and even spread the word to the people they know. The downside is you could lose money, but the upside is much greater. Product knowledge is what marketing is all about. Get the people hyped and give them good service, and you will reap the rewards.
